World and European champions in Mindelheim
Many international tournaments have already taken place in Mindelheim. In addition to show tournaments with Jacques Secretin/Vincent Burkhard or top Chinese players, including the TT Munz Cup. Timo Boll
The most successful German table tennis player is considered one of the smartest tacticians in the sport and is also known for his fair play. In China, the country of the table tennis world champions, he is one of the most popular Germans ever. Timo Boll has won a number of international championship titles in his career to date. In 2003 he was number one in the world rankings for the first time and from then on held a place in the top 15 for over fifteen years. Jan-Ove Waldner
He is a Swedish professional table tennis player and has won two World Championships (1989 and 1997), one European Championship (1996), and one Olympic Championship (1992) in singles. He has also won the Europe TOP-12 ranking tournament seven times. He has also been Swedish Champion ten times. He is considered one of the greatest players of all time in the history of table tennis.
Petr Korbel
Czech table tennis player, played for several German Bundesliga clubs and was a five-time German team champion. He participated in 12 World Championships, four Olympic Games, six European Championships, and nine European Top 12 tournaments. He was also the 1988 European Youth Champion.
Christian Süß
German table tennis player who won the European Championship four times with the German team, one Olympic silver medal, and two World Championship silver medals. He also won European doubles titles four times, was runner-up in the 2005 World Championship, and won gold at the 2005 and 2009 Pro Tour Grand Finals.
Patrick Baum
is a German table tennis player. He was Junior World Champion in singles in 2005, European Vice Champion in 2010 and 2011, and German Champion in 2016.
Lucjan Błaszczyk
A Polish national player, he began playing table tennis at the age of ten with the Polish club LKS Lumel Zielona Góra. He also participated in all three Olympic Games between 1996 and 2004.
